Signs for a good cause

This week my signs are supporting two good causes.
Our sweet friends had twin boys almost two years ago. Fred and Sam spent their first 6 months of life at Children's Hospital as Sam fought for his life. We didn't know this family at that time but I am so happy to call them friends now. Fred is an adorable little guy with an ornery smile and Sam made it home to heaven before the rest of us. To celebrate the boys' 2nd birthday mom and dad are throwing a fundraiser party to benefit Hayden's House of Healing. It's my absolute pleasure to donate a sign for the silent auction.

The second sign is going to Kearney this weekend. Chris and I have the opportunity to spend Gamma Phi Beta's Family Day with our girl. Sidenote: last year Chris drove through a snow storm and I had just undergone shoulder surgery and couldn't attend. This year I'm not missing it!
Anyway, GPhi's philanthropy is Girls On The Run so I am assuming the proceeds from the weekend will support this amazing organization. GOTR offers more than just a running club, they encourage girls to be joyful, confident and healthy. I think my sign goes right along with their motto.

this is us

This is a fun little sign I made for a co-worker's last day. Liz saw several family signs I made but none of them seemed to fit her blended family. Every family is a little different. Love your family and embrace your differences.

Description of this little sign...
about 9"x15"
reclaimed wood
painted black and distressed
painted warm white words
as always I find a font(s) I like and then make changes to them to make it my own
